A Successful Relationship

Dating is occasionally a minefield when trying to find someone compatible. Politics, religion and sports teams are where most couples find themselves at great odds. Couples with opposing views of politics and religion have many times agreed to never discuss them. This type of agreement does not always work, but has been surprisingly successful with many couples. As long as they can ignore it, the relationship will thrive.

Choosing sports teams are often a matter of where a person grew up. Their teams represent their personal background and sometimes their deepest values. If two people are dating, it is best they do not support opposing teams. Rivalries in sports run deep, even when they have been built up for dramatic content over the years. Fans often take rivalries to heart and support their own teams with complete loyalty. A couple supporting opposing teams will have a difficult time whenever there is a match between their teams, and it can sour the entire relationship.
